Interstate 75 at Fruitville Road Interchange

In Sarasota, Florida, Prince is constructing a diverging diamond interchange at the Interstate 75 and Fruitville Road interchange to significantly reduce delays and improve overall safety.

This project is part of the Moving Florida Forward Infrastructure Initiative and includes widening two miles of I-75 to a six-lane highway with three through lanes in each direction, the reconstruction of I-75 bridges over Fruitville Road and Main A Canal and the widening of the I-75 northbound bridge over Palmer Boulevard. Prince will install emergency stopping sites on off-ramps, widen Fruitville Road from Honore Avenue to east of Coburn Road and construct a noise wall on I-75 northbound from the Bee Ridge Road on-ramp to just north of Main A Canal. Traffic signals are being replaced on Fruitville Road at Paramount Drive, Cattlemen Road and Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. 

The project also includes:

• 7-foot buffered bicycle lanes
• 6-foot sidewalks on Fruitville Road
