State Road 417 Widening

The State Road 417 project expanded 3.7 miles of SR 417 from four to six travel lanes and added emergency shoulders designed to accommodate emergency response traffic when needed. The work included improvements to seven existing bridges and construction of three new bridges. The project contains:

• More than 8 miles of substructure piling
• 6.5 million pounds of structural steel beams
• 105,000 square feet of permanent mechanically stabilized earth walls
• Nearly 24,000 linear feet of storm drainage
