During this 1,090-day project, Prince will widen and reconstruct SR 30 (US 98) from the existing four-lane rural roadway to a six-lane urban roadway. This 3.37-mile project is located primarily in Walton County and a small section Okaloosa County, and includes a raised median section with numerous directional openings for control of driveway access, four-foot bike lanes, and an 8-foot-wide sidewalk on each side of the roadway. Included within the Project limits are six signalized intersections that require complete reconstruction of all signalization equipment with new mast arms. All drainage for the project will be via a closed drainage system that collects runoff and discharges into four new detention ponds. Several sections of the Project will require overbuild of existing asphalt pavement to facilitate the traffic control plan requirements.
