OWNER: Florida Department of Transportation
VALUE: $ 54.1 million
YEAR COMPLETED: 2015
This 795-day, $54.1 million project provided a new direct connection from I-75 to the Mid-Field Terminal facilities of the Southwest Florida International Airport (SWFIA.) The project’s scope included the construction of five bridges, seven miles of northbound & southbound collector/distributor (CD) roads alongside I-75, and a new Terminal Access Road (TAR) interchange over I-75. The CD roads combined the interchanges for Alico Road and the new SWFIA TAR into a single point of entry/exit from the interstate.
