Sarasota, FL, July 7, 2011- Prince broke ground today on Sarasota County’s North Cattlemen Road project. Prince crews began land-clearing activities to make way for three miles of new roadway that once completed, will service the County’s Nathan Benderson Park. After clearing activities are completed, earth moving, drainage, water and sewer service, and roadway construction will commence.
Sarasota County announced Prince as the project’s low bidder, with a proposal price of $14.5 million, on April 6, 2011. Since the County’s announcement, Prince and the County executed an agreement that requires Prince to complete the project before January 8, 2013. Prince mobilized forces in the weeks leading up to today’s groundbreaking in an effort to get the project off to an efficient start and keep it on schedule.
