Jack Calandros, P.E., Executive Director
Jack Calandros has 20 years of experience in Civil Engineering, and has been with Prince since 2000. Mr. Calandros served as a Vice President from 2006-2014, at which time he was appointed Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all construction operations company-wide. In 2015, Mr. Calandros assumed the role of Executive Director.
During his 17 years with Prince, Mr. Calandros has been involved with over a billion dollars’ worth of roadway, bridge, and private projects throughout Florida and Georgia, and has significantly contributed to the growth of the company from a small, private earthwork contractor to one of the top civil and Design-Build contractors in the state and in the Southeast.
Daniel Ruiz, Chief Operating Officer
Daniel Ruiz brings more than 20 years’ experience in engineering, construction, and management of large-scale international infrastructure projects in Europe, the U.S., and Canada.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Prince Contracting in 2015, Mr. Ruiz was Deputy Project Director on the Windsor Essex Parkway Project in Windsor, Ontario with Dragados Canada, and was the Construction Manager on the award winning I‐595 Corridor Improvements Project in Broward County, Florida with Dragados USA. Mr. Ruiz has also managed major bridge, tunnel and transportation projects in Madrid, Spain with Dragados S.A.
Daniel Ruiz holds a MS in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and is a member of the National Society of Civil Engineers (Spain).
Luis Miguel Faustino, Chief Financial Officer
Luis Miguel Faustino has worked with Prince since 2009 in his role as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Faustino has over 25 years’ experience in construction finance and financial reporting across the world, including Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. During the latter 15 years as a CFO in the United States, Mr. Faustino has been involved with over a billion dollars’ worth of roadway, bridge, public schools, commercial, and residential buildings throughout Florida and Georgia. During his previous 10 years’ overseas experience, Mr. Faustino was involved in public and private projects, including airports, bridges, tunnels, hospitals, malls, commercial, and residential buildings. Mr. Faustino holds a MS in Economics from the University of Porto, Portugal.
Robert V. Burr, Sr., Vice President
Robert V. Burr, Sr., has been with Prince since 1993 and manages construction operations in Florida. A seasoned construction professional with over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Mr. Burr has managed complex civil, private, and bridge projects across the state. He is proficient in all aspects of construction management including bidding, estimating, scheduling, coordination, and supervision of the day to day operations. Highly regarded in the industry, three out of Mr. Burr’s last four projects have won FTBA awards; Best in Construction Award for Utility Coordination, Best in Construction, and Best in Construction “LAP.” Furthermore, he earned the APWA award for the Florida Project of the Year in recognition of a Prince project completed in 2014 in Sarasota County.
Jeffrey Repenning, Vice President
Jeff Repenning joined Prince in 2015 as Vice President, after previously working for the company from 2006 to 2008 as a Senior Estimator. Mr. Repenning holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Technology from the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio, and has over 30 years of experience in both estimating and managing roadway projects. In addition, he has extensive knowledge in railroad estimating, construction and operations, including new track installation. Experienced in the analysis of railroad facility construction durations and scheduling, Mr. Repenning is extremely familiar with Federal Railroad Administration rules, specifications and FRA Track Safety Standards.
Mr. Repenning has led efforts in major construction equipment research, purchases and input to manufacturers for future enhancements, and has established job costing, subcontracts, purchase orders, equipment and field data collection systems and protocols. He has directed the creation of a Procurement Department at Prince to centralize purchasing for all projects; oversees the Contract Administration department; and leads the Equipment Department, having responsibility over both heavy equipment and the vehicle fleet.
